Photos: Find the image you want by using the search filter or picking your favorite photo from the album, Apple integrated the People option inside the Photos section.
Photo Shuffle: As the name suggests, the photos will be shuffled throughtout the day as you use your iPhone, you can select Photos manually or choose categories such as people, pets, nature, or cities.
Emoji: You can create a unique wallpaper using up to six emojis and five patterns.

Customizing the Lock Screen Wallpaper
iOS 16 offers a number of filters users can use to customize the lock screen background. However, the filters options may vary with different wallpapers. Here’s how you can change quickly change the filters.
- Unlock the iPhone, Press and Hold on the lock screen.
- Tap on the Add button to add a new wallpaper.
- Select the wallpaper.
- On the editing page, you have an option to change the entire look of the wallpaper by swiping between different color filters.
By default, Natural filter is enabled, swiping to left will bring Black & White, Duotone, and Colour Wash filters. If your photos look more attractive with any of these filters, you can simply select it by pressing the Done option at the top right corner.
An additional color styling option works with select photos, it lets you choose color of your choice to style the lock screen background. You can easily access the option by tapping the three-dots icon at the bottom right corner.
The next and big option for lock screen wallpaper customization is the Depth Effect. We have already discussed about the Depth Effect earlier, but, you can turn the option on or off by tapping the three dots icon. It will not work if you are adding widgets to your lock screen.
Once you have a good background applied on your iPhone’s lock screen. Now is the time for changing the Clock font.
Changing the Lock Screen Clock Font
Apple introduces a nice set of fonts for the lock screen clock. The fronts are available in Arabic, Arabic Indic, and Devanagari. There are a total of eight options to choose from along with an option to change the clock’s color. Here’s how you can change the clock font as well as color on the lock screen.
When you successfully add a new wallpaper to your lock screen and personalize it with color filters, you can tap the clock for changing its font and color.
Tapping the Clock will popup the customization panel with a different set of fonts and color options, choose the font you like.

Users can add up to four small widgets to the lock screen or two big widgets or one big widget alongwith two small widgets. Here’s how you can add a widget to the lock screen.
- Unlock your iPhone, press and hold the lock screen.
- Tap Customize, then select lock screen.

- Choose the widget which you want to add.
- Tap or drag the widget to the widgets area.

Most of these widgets are customizable widgets, suppose, if you add a clock widget, then you can tap the widget and change the location. The same can be done with stocks widget, you can customize it and add your favorite stocks to the lock screen.
Apart from the large widgets, the lock screen has a text widget placed above the clock, you can tap on it and change the widget. The text widget cannot be removed from the lock screen.
Personalize Notifications Layout on the Lock Screen
Apple revamped the way notifications appear on the lock screen. The new options let you manage notifications layout easier than ever. There are three layout options available on iOS 16 which include Count, Stack, and List.
