The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 will get a narrower hinge, which has been expected earlier too. The design appears more tapered and flat and the physical buttons look more tactile. It has been leaked in a Bora Purple hue and as a heads-up, that’s not the same as the lavender Galaxy Z Flip 3. The shade is darker and the same goes for the antenna bands.
The latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, a bigger battery, improved cameras, better display, and more.
The Flip4 is said to sport a 6.7″ FullHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with a centered punch hole for the 10MP selfie unit. The outer AMOLED screen,
which is bigger than Flip3’s (2.1″ vs. 1.9″), will be joined by 12MP primary and 12MP ultrawide cameras.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is expected to pack a 3,700 mAh battery with 25W wired and 10W wireless charging support, and like its predecessor,
The Flip4 will also get a Bespoke Edition which will have even more color combinations. It doesn’t crack, but when you look at an angle, display looks really rough. LTT Linus has one and display looked horrible when he was using his phone.
This price drop between the first and second generations is most likely due to the production costs coming down. As with any first-generation product, you usually end up paying a premium to own the newest technology.
There’s no reason to believe that Samsung isn’t planning to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The company has made it plenty clear that it’s committed to foldable phones to replace its now-defunct Note lineup. The new Flip has also appeared in the form of real-world images and leaked renders (more on that later), so it’s pretty much confirmed to launch in the coming month or so.
That violet color is shown off in another leaked image, one that looks like it’s a promotional shot from Samsung that has somehow found its way out into the world ahead of the official unveiling of the phone.
